thanks - it's so true - those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country should always be remembered and honored.

Nebe 05-23-2014 10:47 AM

And also a huge thank you to those who defended this country and are still with us.

My Grandfather, a WWII vet, used to say the best way to honor those who have fought, or given their life for this country, was to fly a flag in their honor.

Sad to say we have more than 50% of our population and a bunch elected officials who don't give 1 #^&#^&#^&#^& about our vets and current military and the sacrifices they made and still make for our freedom !

We have a great Memorial Day celebration in our town. A huge parade with huge attendance. Usually they get A-10s to start it off but the last few years it has been helicopters. My favorite is always the little shriner cars. Then it ends with a nice ceremony at town hall.

Raven 05-23-2014 02:11 PM

my American flag looked like it went thru the war
that made it so Famous...

so we bought a new one just for this weekend

seriously, STFU already. This post shows what a douchebag you are, not how patriotic you are. Unreal.

Many, many thanks to those who have served, past and present

Thanks to all who have served or are serving.

If your town has a parade or ceremony take an hour from
your barbque and take your kids to see it. Put some small
flags in their hands and let them know that fine young men
died in their prime so we can live in a free country. They
need to know. God bless us all.

We spent some quiet time last evening walking two local cemeteries. Special time and flowers at the graves of friends Capt Jennifer Harris USMC and Staff Sgt Christopher Piper USMC/ Army Special Forces.

Thanks for posting a picture of my dad's marker plaque at Bourne National Cemetary. My Brother in law and I placed flags there Saturday. Great to see what appeared to be thousands of volunteers there. The flags on the grounds looked great. Brought my mom and sister by Sunday evening so she could say hello to Bill. Since I am only 5 miles from him I go by often. He like most of them was a humble Veteran.

Thanks,
Bill
