Lucas' 1st time driving a golf cart

Only kidding. An obviously posed shot. I am staying overnight at the Herring Run and fishing the canal. I was going to try eels. How should I weight them for fast current. I was thinking of an egg sinker, casting up current and doing a controlled dead drift. Thanks,

3 way rig with 3' of 20lb mono between the weight (2-5oz depending) and swivel. 2'-3' of flouro between 8/0 or 9/0-circle and swivel. You want to keep it on the bottom but just bouncing along, not sticking or you'll only be making lead donations.
I find it easier with convention gear. I've done better over the sand with eeling in the ditch but they're still focussed on the herring. |
