Seal report tonight
 

One of my good fishing friends on ACK who is spearheading the Seal Abatement Coalition (SAC) sent me this...you might be interested.


CBS evening news is doing a special report on the burgeoning gray seal population tomorrow (Thursday) at 6:30PM. In our area, it will be carried on WBZ. The SAC will figure in the report and was a catalyst for it. I was interviewed for it yesterday late afternoon in Hyannis. Check it out. Cheers. Peter

Interesting - I saw a link somewhere recently that was poo-pooing those that may want to control the seal population. The otherside seemed to be gearing (keeping geared?) up

maybe another time? or it got bumped

I have been informed by CBS that the gray seal segment on the evening news has been rescheduled for next Tuesday, July 29 at 6:30PM. I'll try to let you know if things change.
Last night, in the event, we were bumped by a 101 year-old weatherman. I guess I just wasn't old enough for prime time!

Just saw this from my buddy. I had been away for a few days and just catching up.

Thanks for the link. That report was so condensed it is almost pointless. I happen to know that there were much longer interviews that went into far more detail on the subject. The SAC was actually behind this report and never even got mentioned.

News today sucks. This snippet here and there is a waste of time.
