Maiden Voyage

well, went out on the maiden voyage today in the boat after fixing the motor up. runs well. we took her for a cruise for a while. seeing what it can do, definitly good in waves, the ferries put up some big ones and we didnt get wet at all. well we did get wet but not from waves, it was POURING. so much for occasional showers. we went as far as grape island. we saw some birds circling far above not doing much, so i cast John Stamos out, one of my homemade poppers (i like to give phunny names to em), and on the second or thrid cast boom one comes up and slams it. he fights for a while and i get him in and my dad nets him. 30" schoolie. we cast a few more times and get nothing except a twink for my big brother who never fishes. its nice to catch on the maiden voyage.

Now that is the kind of picture I like!!!
Rod, plug and fish side-by-side!!!
You aught to put a 28" mark on that pole for scale.

Great catch!!!
