Three Decades of the Derby
 

Recently finished a new book titled "Three Decades of the Derby" by Ron Domurat. A nice collection of stories about the MV Derby. Our own StriperManiac has a prominant mention. Easy quick read, interesting characters, enjoyable read for surfcasters. Perfect timing for those who fish the fall classic.

Bought it the first day it was available as Ron Dumurat is an old friend as well as Ron Mckee. I new most of the people on the book, not personally, but by site from fishing the derby. Bob Mckay (backlash here on SB) and his long time friend, Ron Sullivan, who are my Chappy housemates bear equal mention in the book too. Ron Dumurat is a class act, lifelong sportsman, and a hard charging derby fisherman, a regular guy, that few could keep up with. You'll have fun with the book.

I picked up the book at bunch of grapes book store, then later that night bumped into Ron on the beach. Nice guy and good book, finished it in one sitting.
