Cedar Deck Sealer
 

Looking for some advice on what to seal a cedar deck with. I don't want to stain, I want to keep the natural look if possible. Some UV would be nice.....any suggestions?

I always used Sikkens SRD on my mahogany but I've read with the new formulations it's not the same product it used to be. Stuff was a PITA but once saturated it worked very well.

Need to refinish and I'm worried anything on top of the old stuff is going to cause a problem.

Any input on this as well is appreciated.

Penofin is what I'm leaning towards.....heard good things about it.

Power wash and penofin for years then changed to messers's on my mahogany deck, I'm thinking the messmer's last a little longer.

Steel a towel when the wife's not looking and make sure to wipe off any excess of either product, overcast days for best results.

Penofin might be best for the cedar, penetrates better?

I hate that job :smash:
