Gas $2.86 at my pump ..

I guess we should thank Obama .. 4.11 under Bush 2008 . http://www.newrepublic.com/article/1...snt-reason-why

Enjoy it now while we can, 'cause if the gas tax bill gets passed next month we'll be paying more per gallon regardless of what the price is.

I believe we pay somewhere around $0.61 a gallon in taxes.
That will increase AUTOMATICALLY each year.

It wouldn't be so bad (as bad as it is already) if that extra tax $$ wasn't being wasted by POS politicians on their wet-dream projects that do nothing but improve THIER lives.

We need to take back control of our taxes, our government and OUR LIVES!!!

This and the bottle bill, which rolls the unclaimed money into the general fund along with the funding for the south coast rail system will have them creamin for years

3.19 for me.

And they drop most Novembers. Now when you look how well Obama is doing for us on the price of Gas (he has influence but not control on prices) and compare it over 11 years you will see that prices are far higher now, and have a cyclical dip in November

But let me put this in more historical perspective - I will use the last 11 years which will cover all of Obama and half of Bush.

http://charts.gasbuddy.com/ch.gascha...&Unit=US%20$/G

Note that the chart does not range from 0$ per gallon to $5/ gal which would give a more accurate view on overall increases

You can go here and drill down in more ways: http://www.gasbuddy.com/gb_retail_price_chart.aspx

Thanks for the info. (I didn't want to sound like M Coakley on this one)

Reading the voter information pamphlet, the gas tax bill, regardless of which way it goes, will guarantee that the state gas tax will NEVER drop below $0.21 cents per gallon.
Even though it was "supposed" to be a temporary tax, it won'y ever go away. (Love how the POS politicians turn temporary into permanent?)

Now the attack ads have stooped so low as to say that if this automatic gas tax increase is defeated the state won't be able to fix our failing roads and bridges! What a load of crap!

Just because THEY piss OUR tax money away on their wasted projects, failed trade junkets and party-out-of-state soiree's, why should we keep getting screwed?

Of course this is m"ASSACHUSETTS", and after the "people" have spoken, the politicians will do whatever the heck they please regardless of the voting results!

Thank Obama? ?
is that the change he promised?

4.11 under Bush in 08 must have been the high, I think the more important figures are increase in cost of living during terms. cherry picking one thing does not make up for thousands of wrongs.

3.15 here went down 10 cents maybe 20
