SNOW!
When i was a kid we used to race Barefoot in the 2 inch snow storms
we got on thanks giving morning..... AROUND the HOUSE
and the first one back,,,,, was the Honorary first served with desert....
man that was fun.....

ONE thanks giving our tabby cat climbed up on the
ceran wrapped chocolate cake and went to sleep to my Mum's Horror
Now the cake was all dented and lob-sided
so she took it back to the kitchen and made a second batch of chocolate frosting and parged over
all the dents and made it perfect again
so then, with the frosting 1 1/2 inches THICK we all thought
it was the Best CAKE EVER! and all us kids petted the "good kitty". :)

To all those red blooded, properly documented Americans...

Happy Thanksgiving everyone

Bitter sweet for me...
My mother in law is stage 4 (she /we just found out on the 12th.of Nov.) & my Dad is going in more frequently for dialysis and my Mother can't drive at night.

This Thanksgiving was our 21st of hosting and as the years go by our numbers have fallen,we expected a small amount due to the late news on both sides...
But the day came as expected and we had an unseual surprise,my Nephew /Godson (Hooklineand sinker)a SB member and a US Marine got some R&R from deplyment & shows up completly un expected and bringings my parents to my house, Holy chit !Check!
My son is home from college and p/u my Mother inlaw,double check!
We spent the day together as a whole family,for the first time in two years.
We didn't spend the whole day together but it was time together as as a family,some laughs and of course some tears.
I wished we could of spent more time together but,I know time is comeing to a close.

To the guys on the boards who are younger and have families put aside the small stuff and enjoy your families...
