Surfcasting with wood

Are there any surfcasters out there that would be interested in helping out a lifelong boat fisherman?

I've been fishing from the beach almost every night this summer with wooden plugs and I haven't had much luck(a few rodents, thats it). I'm sure my location has something to do with not catching anything of size, but then again it could be my presentation or plug selection also.

If anyone can offer assistance please let me know....

Take a look at the HOW-TO forum, lots of good info in there on fishing wood.
