Other cool stuff to do at the canal besides fishing
 

Taken in 1955 along side my sister with my mother's parents, mybgrandparents, in the background. This is when there were no access roads. My aunts would take the mac's that my uncles caught and grill them right up. I did try to drop line fish for mac's that day, but my uncle Les finally got me to just watch. He was sick of taking the hook out of my shorts. THought it was right side up. Chit.

Wouldn't that be your Grandmother/grandfather?

I like to pick the wild blackberry's that grow various places, tasty, and fun to gather, waiting for the schools of fish to pass by...

and maybe take home a few bayberry sprigs for the kitchen table, some beach plums there too, not many, a few...
