Boga 60lb on belt

Anyone use one on their belt? Got one for christmas and its much bigger than the 30lb. I was about ditch the 30lb as I almost never use it and it would just be one less thing.

I carry one on my belt all season. I have mine hanging vertically from a D ring and it doesn't really ever bother me. Some guys I know do setup their belt to have them sit horizontally across the small of their back so that it's out of the way and more comfortable.

There have been dome good discussions on this in the past. Do a search for a thread where I talk about the retractor from Cetacia.

I wear a boga 60 as jlh mentioned. Clipped yo a D ring on my side... Hangs vertically. Never bothers me, maybe just swing a little at times when walking fast. I like knowing what fish weigh once they get in the 40lb range

I wear mine across my back, then hang it off a clip on my belt.

I do

I think I remember the thread. I'll find it.

The 30lb never bothered me swinging vertical but when I clipped on the 60lb it seemed huge. I'll figure out a horizontal solution if swinging vertical becomes a issue.

I too like to know the weight for almost no other reason except to see if my guest is within a couple pounds and maybe to call my friends out on whats going to be their next fish story. :hs:

I only use a 30 cause i dont catch large fish and hang it Vertically, but i have fished with guys that carry 60's and they hang them horizontally across their lower back between 2 D rings, looks comfortable and easy to get to.

I've got to try this, every time I catch a 45 or 55# fish the Boga is in the truck. :spin:

that is so much easier when you get to be your age

I clip it on twice so it doesn't dangle and swing and bump things like the butt of the rod while reeling.

Perfect. I'm guessing it held up well. Found it on Leisure Pro for $25 with great reviews.

I generally get 3 - 5 years out of one retractor. I do make a point to rinse it after each trip with fresh water and spray WD-40 into the cord every so often as well.
