I just remembered!

saturday night as me and milo were going out there was a boat in the water at the ramp he couldnt get it going on board were him his 7-8 month pregnant wife and kid nobody had life jackets on he asked me to help him get it started I didnt know it was his first time with a boat now if you remember saturday was windy as hell not a good time to sea trial a boat no radio on board so I get it started for him he puts it in reverse and does a half circle and bangs right into the peir with the outdrive now I know he dont know that area no depth finder no chart no radio he was an accident waiting to happen I can see putting yourself in harms way but to bring the family along was just plain f@#$ing stupid I felt really bad about starting that boat for him if anything ever happened I couldnt live with myself so from this day forward Im a gonna ask questions when helping someone at the dock and they better not be first timers that dont have a clue Ill send them home.:af: :af:

I saw a guy launch at Pier5 in Narragansett today in one of those 2 seat plastic (freshwater) bass boats. Electric trolling motor - no registration, no radio, no lights, no anchor, no oars, no clue. They did have life jackets, but neither him or his 8 yr old son were wearing them. Like someone said before - its natural selection at work......... And the forecast was possible thunderstorms in the afternoon.

Anyone ever heard/use the nicknames:

Rodney's
Happy's (sad when the disaster occurs)

?
