Autopilot

I am considering having autopilot installed on my boat this season. It is a 27' cc with twin merc verados. It has garmin electronics and is a '12. Any suggestions on who I should call for the work? Boat is stored on the south coast of MA.

Seaport in Narragansett RI did my buddy's 33 grady and did a great job. I don't have contact info. I think the guy's name is Manny. I'm sure a quick google could find him.

Just saw this. Ap is a must IMO. I have very good work done by Chris electronics in New Bedford. They do a lot of the commerical and yard support for the fleet there.
Good luck. Who ever installs it make sure they come out for a ride on the boat afterwards to tune it for your boat. There is a lot more to ap's that just plugging it in, there is a bit of fiddling with parameters to get them to behave right and work their best.
Make sure it works for multiple waypoints not just straight line mode and the zig zagging is minimized
Once you have it set up you will say.... Why the hell did I wait so long to do this??? Esp at night or reduced visibility
Good luck with it

Another vote for John C.
You can find him on FB also.
Probably makes sense to get a Garmin system to match what you have but Simrad has been the choice for commercial guys for years for a reason.
I have an AP24 system and love it.
Also just so you know.
Far more issues with outboards because the rudder feedback mounts to the motors at the steering ram and being exposed, they really don't like salt water.

Well, after calling and talking to Crobar he never got back to me with a quote. I waited a week and sent a text to his cell, still no communication. Oh well. I called Chris Electronics who referred me to SK Marine in NB,spoke to Scott who explained that he couldn't schedule me until June. No problem on my end,I just want the job done professionally. Looking forward to hands free.

Buy the stuff and I'll install everything.
It's pretty easy.

Thanks Ronnie, I really appreciate it but everybody I have spoken with says it is a couple days of labor and that is pretty substantial. I honestly don't care if it doesn't happen til June as most of my long trips will come after that. My fishing partner recently bought a 36 Calvin Beal and that may have to do in the interim.
