Quick question about weighting Nikes.
I'm planning on turning a few Nike's today and I'm curious as where I should be weighting them at. I'm planning on making mine anywhere from 4"-5" long. I've did some searching through old forums and I've come to the conclusion that they should be tail weighted, however I will be using screw eyes so I wont be able to use a direct tail weight. How should this plug sit when it's in the water? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

My small ones take a .1 and my.large a .2 behind the belly hook and right before the taper to the tail. i find the key being that the line ties just touches the water

I found by adding tail weight it killed the action. Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device |

You cant make a plug you dont own. How are you going to know its got the right action? Im of the opinion that you need to see an originals action so you can then Go from there. Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device |
