transplant!
Last test was today for the transplant, they said I was good! Now wait till 7/14 for the meeting for the big shots, and we are off to the transplant list!! If something happens with my donor? it will be about a 3 to 4 year wait, but the hard part of getting on the list is done!!

Good to hear...if something happens and U have to wait, go to the following site...Also check with the Cleveland Clinic, less of a wait if U get on their list.
http://www.matchingdonors.com/life/ppc.html Do not know about matchingdonors but Cleveland Clinic will send a private jet cost is high BUT, check out Angel Flight they do it for free and pick U up from the closes airport, also they have free attorneys to fight your insurance company if need be. |
Great news Joe,,, keep on pluging 😀

Thanks all!! Freak, I am not sure what they look for?? But I have never asked for some reason DUH but I am going too!! All I know is I am a type A. O and A are the most out there and have the shortest wait. Good thing is that they use to make you wait till you were approved before they put you on the list. But now they start your clock when you start dialysis, so I have been on the list for year & half just waitting for approvel. avrage for type A is 5 years

That is awesome news! By nature most people would probably classify me as pessimistic but when it came down to the "nitty gritty" with my own health issue I devised a game plan/way of thinking that helped me through. Bottom line is worry wont change your condition (oh trust me worry is what I specialize in and have a hard time letting go of!), it wont make it better but it CAN make it worse. The only thing you can do is work on trying to get the issue fixed...just like a car, house repair, etc. right? Well you are now one step closer to getting yourself better and that my friend is a good thing! Congrads! Keep taking care of yourself the best you can in the meantime and keep looking forward to the things WILL do going forward! Last summer I promised my work fishing buddy that after 2 years of being a bad fishing buddy that I WOULD fish with him this year, no more excuses...and yesterday we spent the entire day fishing. Make yourself an incentive no matter how minor or severe and stick to it! Wishing you all the best! :lm:

Thanks everyone!! And yes Jenn I am trying to stay on the good side! But I will tell you it has not been easy, loss of my house, boat, truck, camper everything GONE! Can't fish no more! But I have come to teerns with it, and go thur my days the best I can, knowing that things can go much worse. Hopeing to go fishing this time next year?? But I am doing my best to stay positive!
