John was a character! Great guy and very generous with his knowledge. Glad I got to know him a little bit in the short time I knew him. He is missed. 8 years......man where does the time go?

One of the best. He helped me put a door in the back of my truck, at Home Depot, the day before he passed.

Can't wait to fish with you again Johnny. :(

Can't believe that it has been that long. Still seems like yesterday to me. :(

Wow crazy it's been that long already.

I meet John one day at the edge and was a great guy, shared some knowledge.

I miss the Habs Tourney and everyone hanging out at Coddington afterwards.

Still cant believe it happened . Its been 8 years and i feel like it was yesterday . Habs was a very kind man in many aspects .

gone way too soon. we talked 2 days before his passing. we've lost so many good guys :(.

John was always very good to me and Julie, He always took time to chat
I first met him on Block Island when he was playing a joke on his friends he was there with

I had just started to know him bf he left us ...always saw him around but never really talked much. The very first time we did thou he gave me his number and said if I wanted anything to just call him. I never did but we chated a few times after that. He was a first class person that loved the outdoors

OMG. Tempus fugit.

Remember his "poop" needlefish with corn? He molded it out of brownie mix and corn kernels and stuck eyes and hooks on it. He was a funny guy...

He was a riot,great with kids and a first rate dog lover. Missed by all who had the privilege to have met him.

The last time I saw him, I was at Mike's shop, and he came in with a delivery, and right away started breaking my balls., LOL.
