The 80's Called and want their foreign policy back
|
yeah, Obama really has a crystal ball on these things.
(1) The stimulus bill will keep unemployment below 8% (2) no bad will come of a complete withdrawal from Iraq (3) ISIS is the JV (4) The 1980's called, they want their foreign policy threat (mocking Mitt Romney for suggesting that Putin was a national security concern) Alawys wrong, never in doubt. That's what baffles me, is after all the obvious mistakes, how does the arrogfance remain? I get Trump's arogance. Not Obama's. |
Our foreign policy is completely out of control. Obama got us into the current mess with his apologies to foreign governments, secret whispers to Putin, withdrawing troops too soon, failing to follow through on his red line, and having two weak Sec.of States.
What is his strategy?, does he have one?, and what is his intended outcome? What is his plan to prevent war with having Russia flying sorties in the same areas we are?, and who is coordinating these attacks in Syria? Turn the elite libs loose. |

I think this is brilliant. Let's pass off that whole region to Putin and let him deal with it. Let's get the hell out of there and focus on our own problems.

land war in Syria against the Russians? To me, Syria is NOT worth boots on the ground. period, without a full international contingent that we are part of but not necessarily leading, and even then we should be about 20th down the list... |
You can bet your bottom dollar that if Syria had the oil fields that Iraq has, there would have been boots on the ground long ago ....
In my opinion, our foreign policy is to let Putin take Syria and inherit all of the problems of the MIddle East. Possibly even Afghanistan. In the mean time we develope wind, solar and our own further exploitation of our own fossil fuels and not worry about protecting our imperialistic approach to extracting oil from foreign deserts. We can all say he is being a lame duck but this could be a genius move to exit from the cluster fuk that we have created post 9-11 Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device |

It's not what we should do now, but what we shouldn't have done. Most importantly not have laid a red line down without backing it up. Going forward we still don't know what the strategy or end stage we are working for. |
