Offshore cod this year?

I was kinda hankering for an offshore trip on the Helen-H or something like that, but then heard that stocks were stressed.

Has anyone been out to George's Bank this season? I think for the last few years Helen-H has been sailing out of Montauk instead of Hyannis. This year's calendar is back in Hyannis.

I am guessing you would want to look for boats out of Pt Jude that fish Cox'. I took some trips there this year and did great.

I don't think Joe is planning on bringing the HH down to Montauk this year. You might also want to consider the Frances Fleet, Frank runs a couple of Georges trips every year. I wouldn't fish Cox's during the winter, too many of our spiny friends out there then.
