Lots in front of the canal. You can pretty much walk on them from there to the bank.

Black & Green Friday is what we were calling it!!!....it was an absolute gorgeous day out there, fishing was awesome as was getting some family out on the water while wives wasted their money away...
Only saw a couple of other boaters out there, kind of an eerie feeling seeing all those boats wrapped up or on stands awaiting yet another winter...knowing that mine would soon be joining them :nopain: Coast Guard came out and payed a visit too. Thought for sure they were going to board us but the boat on the other side of the can picked the shorter straw. They dropped 2 guys on board and spent the better part of a 1/2 hour on their vessel. After it was all said and done, I gave them the thumbs up and they returned the same, so all was good. Also saw a couple of canal guys plugging away, nice to see some guys still at it. Thinking that's it for me....time to winterize and hibernate. |

joke>> Although I do bake stuff the bull mackerel which is very tasty..... @DZ, yes Dennis that sounds about right...this time of year we'd often do well with good amounts of mackerel, some pollack, as well as some beefy tautog. Seems the years have lessened the mackerel numbers and the tautog sizes from your local area. Good to hear the mackerel have found their way again. Hopefully the regs will help the inshore tautog bite as well. |
" Royal Order of the Holy Mackerel"
Good one lol |
