Ok....I know the rules about seceret spots. I am not looking for anyone to reveal any big secerets.

I have been putting in the time and been having very little to no luck in the doldrums of summer.

But I have a special request. Could anyone put me on some fish? I have a couple of kids (the girlfriends nephews) coming for a weekend next week. and I want to take them out fishing.

While I enjoy trying new spots, scouting at low tide and putting in the time. Kids want fish. I am not looking for a honey hole or need to catch any mosters. just looking to have the kids catch some fish, any fish; stripers, blues, anything.

If anyone could help, it would be much appreciated and go towards a good cause. These kids are landlocked and while they do go freshwater fishing, I would love for them to have a good saltwater experience. And to repeat Sweetieface's Nantucket post - PMs are fine, I won't share, and if need be I won't return to that spot.

thanks

Thats why they call it fishing not catching. Keep doing what your doing, you'll get em. I just talked to a guy who put in 36 hours fishing the outer cape for 3 days, he only got one keeper, but he'll be right back out there.
If the kids are landlocked, just going to the ocean should be a treat, if you catch fish that'll be the icing on the cake.

are you fishing..

from Shore or from a boat??

The beaches have to be infested with scup and sea robins right now...these are sure to be crowd pleasers.

Yeah thoes sea robins will give the kids something to talk about to their friends.

Well I don't know about the south shore but up on Cape Ann there are SHARKS (dogfish) everywhere!! I took some kids out last weekend and they had a ball catching them. Chunks on the bottom.

cape ann is not that far of a drive.

thanks
