Electric boat winches

Has any one used an ATV winch on their Trailer seems a 3000 to 3500 lb ATV winch is 1/2 the cost of any winch that says Marine. Seeing my hand crank winch is 2500lb , I don't see how these wouldn't work..
Experience, recommendation and suggestions welcomed :kewl:

i have an electric
i used it to pull my jacuzzi (700 lbs)
onto a u-haul trailer and off again.
works great and wasn't too expensive
