Four years ago we were waking to hear this:
|
Ran into him at Watch Hill one fall night. Told him I liked the magazine, and we talked about fishing in Key West. He was very kind and enthusiastic.
|
Cant believe it has been that long..I had him fish with me for bass a few times....also helped him on the research on the "cement" boat during his writing of the
wreck series.. |
RIP Tim
another good one gone too soon :( |
Yeah, too soon for him, and four years already. I'm not sure if the way that we all compartmentalize our experiences through social media leads to the future shock effect, but it sure does seem like it to me.
|
Tim was a good friend to me early in my striper career. Taught me a lot. Had some great nights with him and "he who cannot be mentioned" at "The Hill" and West. I think another legend and a good friend of mine, Al Pellini died the same year.
Where the hell does the time go? :crying: |
Timmy would have loved the nickname "He who cannot be mentioned".
Timmy coined some interesting names for his friends: "Steve McAnxious" for McKenna "Pat of Bait" for Pat Abate Loved his writing style. |
Dennis, Timmy taught me about using LMB purple worms for Stripers. I haven't in years but they were killer.
|
Tim
Fished Weekapaug beaches with him more than a few times.
My good fishing friend found Tim the morning he passed. Think about it every time I go there. RIP. |
Time sure does fly, and lives go by.
Make sure to spend good quality time, hopefully unhooking fish for each other, with the people important to you, and with those you might be important to as well. RIP Tim. Never fished with him, being from LI and then Nantucket, now cape cod, but I read everything he wrote that I could get. Learned a lot. Thanks Tim! Steve T |
