thanks for the welcome......I am new to Nova Scotia so striper fishing is a new ball game for me...I love every minute of it fishing many many hours.. I am aware of the NovaScotiafishing web site which is a wicked website but the striper topis are relativly rare if there is another site fill me in that would be great. ..I am trying to learn as much as I can about these beauties. I have caught many schoolie sized fish 20-26 inch range with my largest being of the landlock form out of grand lake...20 pounds...trolling deep wth downriggers.....Im trying to learn as mush as possible and this site is wicked. I definatly want to get ahold of some of these monsters Im seeing and hearing about on here .but form what i heard they are alot harder to catch around here.

Well, perhaps you have some shore cod fishing that you can look forward to? Shore cod is ancient history in most of the US, I think. See any sea trout? You might; you're far enough north. And there's nothing wrong with pike or smallmouth either.
|
Ya the sea trout run is excellent here ..I went a week trip to Cape Breton for sea trout and wow what beauties.. the smallmouth is the new fish in town with many people fishing smallies which are a blast as well....I love it and fish it all.....being new here and from being out west walleye are my specialty however that has changed..and Stripers are my new love
