Tropical Depression FIONA
Seem this late season Heat may really mess with our fall fishing
Hurricane season if off and running http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/ I hope I am wrong but the law of averages could be against us |
We certainly are due for at least a serious tropical depression hitting Southern NE we did have 2-3 days last fall on MV when it blew up to 35 but nothing too serious
|
We NEED the rain!!!
|
most recent advisory for this storm shows decreasing wind speeds..... not much to worry about on this one.
a little rain and wind would be nice though.... |
We need some storm activity to help save what has been a crappy fishing summer.
all waterways are WAY BELOW normal levels, even for a regular dry summer. Lower waters, early warm weather and explosive weed growth (both good and bad) has chocked off many shallow waters making them unfishable. Add to that the hot summer weather and you have waters that are very warm, and not conducive to healthy fish populations. I'm sure the saltwater fishing has been pretty bad too, unless you have a boat and can spend hours out looking for fish. I'm thinking of ditching kayak fishing and taking up bike riding instead, at least giving it up until ice fishing season, but who knows how bad it will be THIS year??? |
