Fifteen

Fifteen years ago I watched the plane hit the second tower on the news while holding my infant son, Liam.

3,000 people never came home that night to their families and friends.

Very sad day in our history

I'd love to know all of the truths that we don't know. I think we would be quite surprised if we knew what really happened. Same with the assassination of JFK.

Still a painful memory that was 15 yrs ago. I'll never forget that day! :( The younger generation won't remember it: my daughter was just 4 yrs old.

Unsure if we will ever find out the truth about it or other things in our life time, nebe.

Thanks to all the politicians, intelligence service personnel and the military for protecting us since then

I pray that when my children are grown, everyone knows who Welels Crowther was, and NO ONE remembers the football zillionaire who refused to stand during the national anthem. At rare times, history and fate meet at a single place and at a single time, to shape a turning point in man's search for freedom and for love. 09/11 was such a day...It landed in the lap of a young man named Wells Crowther, who ever since he was a kid, wore a red bandana. Here is a moving, 13 minute video of what Welles did that day. The first sentence of the video is enough..."what would you do, in the last hour of your life?"

Great news earlier this week. The flag in Slipknots post was finally found after being lost all this time.

I would go to the gym often before work back then. I was on the treadmill surrounded by tv's, Today was showing the video of the first plane talking about it being a tragic accident and discussing what may have gone wrong when the second plane struck. Clearly no accident. It was tough to watch but even tougher to look away.

Can't believe its been 15 years already. My girlfriend kid is 8 and it was mentioned to her in school. I had to ask her mom about what to say about it.

God Bless the families of those who lost loved ones.

It has gone by quickly, 15 years is a long time but it still feels like yesterday. I was working my second job that day but my heart was with my brothers, near and far. I lost a friend, a brother fire fighter from the 10 house on Liberty St in New York. NEVER FORGET!

Great video, great story, great courage. I worked for a company that had an office of about 40 people in the second tower. We watched the horror from the office we worked at in Syracuse, NY. Unbeknownst to us, they started to evacuate, when they realized that it was not their tower burning. They were going to return to their desks (NY work ethic?) when one of them, in a wheelchair, refused to let them return, and urged them downward....his stubborn action saved them all....one moment in time, results left a legacy.
