A little Elmer's Glue and that thing will be fine.

No, it will not.

You can see the shaft that slides thru the body if you look closely at the pic

You need an arm from a VS or VSB

Call rivers end or swe they usually carry parts and have em on hand

If not try Fishermans headquarters in NJ, awesome customer service and one day turn around when i sent my VSX in to be fixed

I would at least call Craig and ask the question.......

nightfighter 09-17-2016 09:06 PM

By the way, I must congratulate you, Doc. I have not seen anyone on so many other people's boats in a season..... You, sir, have become this year's ultimate boat ho'!

I dunno man - buzz just ho'd a ride in south Africa - intercontinental ho

nightfighter 09-18-2016 05:57 AM

While the RSA ho is impressive, still have to give the nod to Doc. Buzz has his own boat and is retired.... Doc works at a major Boston hospital and does not have a boat.

a few years ago I fell on the rocks with my 275 and the handle shaft snapped right off wasn't a hard fall they covered it ..all you need to do is ask .. my friend has one of the new light weight 200 Vr series and his main gear is striped just from striper fishing my understanding the are taking care of him .. as long as there is no abuse

doc 09-18-2016 10:49 AM

...I have yet to make it on your boat Ross - you are a prude!

Going to call van staal tomorrow - should not break from general albeit heavy use/fatigue...there was no trauma (that I can remember!)

NF,

Well played, and for the record doc, before you even say it, i did not prompt NF to make the comment. As you close your eyes at night, you no longer have visions of crashing surf and $30 dollar plugs. No my friend, you dream of cold beauty of a fresh sharp snag hook, nervous water, and the erratic swimming pattern of a 1 pound bait. Repeat after me.....My name is Doc, and i am a bait fishermen.

Yes you did. That was in the hours before they closed the launch service due to the wind and "storm." I was surprised to find those guys were trying to get pogies trolling sabikis and a tube.... Got them two weighted trebles off of my boat to use and quickly realized the safest place for me was at the helm!

doc 09-26-2016 06:36 PM

...van staal sent me the replacement arm, free of charge, and I got in 2 days...I like that service!
