On the way from mass to little Compton RI (rt24 from mass to rt77) any bait shops on route carrying crabs?

There is a bait shop under the Sakonnet river bridge by the boat ramp when you get off 24 to pick up 77 at exit 5. They generally have crabs. Ron

Riverside under the bridge as Ron suggests does have them as far as I know. You can also try Main B&T on Main Rd on the Fall Riv/Tiverton line.

If worse comes to worst Wesport B&T may have them, its out of your way but not to far.

I called Riverside multiple times and got recording, so I think it's Never Home and New Bedford in am. Will try Clarks Cove and point by fort, easy kayak peddle.

Without confirmation by phone at Riverside, I opted for Never Home and a trip to New Bedford and eat well for the effort. Unfortunately my kayak grapnel anchor had to be cut free after only the first set and 20 or 30 minutes, try as I might I just couldn't get it free. Fortunately I'm in a Hobie and with light to no wind, it was easy to hold over prime real estate and catch. I think I'll cement in some cheep eye bolts into a few PVC throw away anchors and get away from the grapnel, you just cant put any force into pulling them free in a kayak.

Little Joe over at Riverside commits himself to the forest fairly early....perhaps he's hung it up for the season?
