lets play.... "what happened to...?"

just wondering what ever happened to formerly-prominent members on this site.... these were guys who seemingly fished every night and always had something to contribute.

how about eel man what happened to that guy?

Do your eally want to know about #^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^& ???? It would take a Book & you would probably think it was fiction :faga:

rphud 01-01-2017 09:25 AM

I would read the book.

Clammer 01-01-2017 09:52 AM

there is no ending ........just unreal chapters ><><>:rtfm:

nightfighter 01-01-2017 11:32 AM

Let's just say that as far as the site's management goes, a decision was made that family gatherings would benefit if he weren't involved here. Though I haven't been in touch with him in years, last I heard he was not fishing at all, though that could have changed.....

How about we look for some others.... like Luds, Americanspirit, Tynan and his lovely bride.... though I would bet that young growing families have contributed to their absences.

rphud 01-01-2017 01:13 PM

Funny you should mention Luds, just saw his pic in Zeno's book of fishing lures this week.

How's about Doc? I think his last post was a pic of a big treble all the way through the meat of his hand. I still see that one in my sleep.

I saw Toonock a few months ago. He's doing well and is not fishing as much as he used to but looked to be healthy and happy.

Clammer 01-01-2017 02:29 PM

nEBE i MISS THAT PLACE .<><

numbskull 01-01-2017 04:59 PM

2na, Back Beach Jake, PNG, NIB, Tagger. Good people, I miss them.

nightfighter 01-01-2017 05:14 PM

I see Doc pretty much on a regular basis, as he has a lot of best friends that have him on their boats.... he is a livelining slut these days.

Also Capesams.... Could go through some of the early threads to see many others who have become absent.

How about likwid?

Nebe 01-01-2017 05:31 PM

Nib stopped by my studio a few months ago as well with his girlfriend. They had just come back from exploring Acadia National Park in Maine. he's doing well. Love that guy...

Nebe 01-01-2017 05:32 PM

Likwid is restoring a sea craft and is doing well .

He who cannot be named is doing fine. He does not fish anymore but he does play drums in a local band and is happy with that.

He was the best striper fisherman I ever fished with. Guy would get in a zone like no one I ever knew. Problem was he was crazy and didn't care about anything but striper fishing and it affected all other facets of his life. Neglected his wife and daughter and it just didn't end well.
I keep in close contact with his wife and daughter and they are much better off without him in their lives.

rphud 01-02-2017 11:00 AM

RHM, that's a good one...so to speak

The #^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^& and I had some spirited debates, he might have been a great fisherman, but in his world there was no room or use for methods other than his time tested way of doing things. He was clearly a his way or you haven't a clue kind of guy.
