Anyone have one of these? UltraSkiff
These look pretty darn cool and seem very stable. Anyone around here try them yet? Pretty expensive at close to $1500 each but they do look fun.

One of those " why the f didn't i think of that" things

That's a pretty innovative idea. Only a matter of time we see someone giant fishing at peaked hill on one. 🙄

Very cool, but I wonder how easy that is to row and I suspect that is a 12V trolling motor and I know from experience, those don't last all that long in a good windy day. Still for pond hoping or if you didn't need to get far from the ramp or beach, that is a really cool idea.

Might be good for a pond. Get that in a chop and prepare to be humbled.

Not bay capable.
Besides, the Russians tried it once... http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-PTSd1lV_kR...orod_atsea.jpg |

Apparently so did Evinrude, back in 1957 with their saucer fishing concept boat. Actually this 1957 model may be bay capable :)

Native Americans used to make what they called "bear boats". A bear hide or a buffalo hide stretched over a round wooden frame. If you saw the revenant, I think they used one or two.

There's another company called " round about watercrafts" that makes the same thing
Not sure if ultraskiff patented the design or what but they're pretty damn close I've been thinking about getting one instead of using my crawdad for freshwater for the limited freshwater I do. The idea that you can roll it to your launch spot is pretty slick and the fact it fits thru a doorway for storage is nice too But no one has one in New England and I'm all set buying one sight unseen and untested They're big in Florida, hoping I can test one test time we head down Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device |
