Why does the the right not have an issue with Her roll in the the white house
or the obvious nepotism the practice among those with power or influence of favoring relatives or friends, especially by giving them jobs. pay or no pay is not my concern I have heard of the 1st Lady ( haven't seen much of her ) but never the 1st Child When did she get elected ? |
Well, you mentioned a First Lady, isn't that the same thing? A relative who is highly influential yet not elected.
Is she not a positive role model for young women? She's a bright, articulate, business woman who balances career and family.I'm pretty sure there was a sea of pussy hats worried about that. Most of the past presidents daughters weren't quite old enough to take an active part of their fathers administration. And I'm pretty sure we would have seen quite a bit of Chelsea if Hillary had won. Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device |
And if this is all that people can find to be upset about this week, then things must be getting better at the WH

WDMSO, you need to take a few breaths and calm down. Every single President, appoints people to his inner circle, that he is comfortable with and trusts. Do you really think Obama didn't do that? Why did Obama make Valerie Jarrett a senior policy advisor?
Have you ever seen Ivanka interviewed? She is very poised and impressive, and I don't say that about everyone who identifies as a Republican. I am sure she cad add some value somewhere. He didn't put her on the Supreme Court, he didn't name her Chairman of the Joint Chiefs or head of the CIA. He wants an inner circle of people he likes and trusts. Shocker. Policy advisors are not elected. They are appointed by the President. That's not new with Trump, it has always been that way. Trump will give both of us plenty or reasons to roll our eyes and shake our heads. This isn't one of them. |
My niece, who is firmly on the left side of the aisle, went to Wharton with her. Nothing but the highest praise for the woman's intelligence, ability, and respect among her peers. She may indeed be the best, and the last chance we have to reign in Donald during a real crisis. And maybe this appointment will give her some more backbone to stand up to him more than has been done in the first 100 days.

I agree with Nightfighter 100%.

Then you should be happy he selected her. "The White House "is becoming a family operation:drevil" Do you know who JFK's attorney general was? Hilary was a very politically active First Lady. Were you appalled at the nepotism then? |
