VS service

Need to service my 250 and wondering how many guys DIY in comparison to sending out. Thanks in advance

River's End does great work. At least they did when Pat owned it. I haven't sent my VS out in 3 years because it rarely gets dunked or even wet.

How many reels / what types of reels have you serviced before? Got a good grip on it or first time?

I've done all my own servicing in the past I guess my curiosity is in whether its cost effective to buy the service kit or ship it out.

Send it in to Rivers End, no question about it. If you do it yourself several times, but mess it up just once, you lose money on the deal. Not worth it IMO plus you actually can't do a full service by the DIY kit.

Thanks Toby that's the answer I was looking for
