New line on vs
 

When I originally had backing and line spooled on my vs200 it was put on with a hump in the middle of the spool to correct the line lay issue. Will the hump in the backing be enough so I can just respool by cranking the handle or should I have a shop put new line on? I should mention it's about 200 yds of braid..Thanks

In my opinion you get slightly better casting distance for a while when it is spool with a hump, but eventually the line lay will go concave no matter what. I have done it myself, with no hump, both on a line winder and manually and its totally fine. Spool away and don't worry about it.

Thanks Pat, ended up spooling it with a hump in the middle using a drill. Worked out pretty well.
