Santee-Cooper S.Carolina

Anybody here ever fish there? An old Airforce buddy apparantly is hooked up with somebody who has property on lake Marion.I've been invited down to do some striper fishing in October.I did some freshwater hybrid-striper fishing when I was stationed in TX.I've heard both lakes Marion and Moultrie produce some monster bass because they actually have one of the few freshwater breeding populations of stripers.
I was just curious if anyone here has any experience with fishing for freshwater stripers.I don't freshwater fish but this sounds like it could be a great fishing experience.Any insight?

Doesn't matter now.

Had to replace most of my trucks ignition.Distributor, cap, coil, wires
and battery.Finacially can't happen now.
I guess I'll have to stick around Newport and fish. What a bummer.Yeah right.
