Ross, I bought the largest at bass pro a few years back, didn't work out, not ballsy enough ,,,
Want to by used , I've got one, just saying... ;-) Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device |
Model and make? Pics and price please. We can take this offline if you want. Of course I buy used.....got some of that Scotch blood in me.
|
I was being sarcastic, the one I have is junk!
Don't buy Bass Pro largest.... Get it? Geeees, I think I pulled a Clammer.... LOL Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device |
Ross, if you're still looking, I have a sweet vice made out of a bit brace. It weighs about ten pounds and will hold any hook firmly, rotates too. Yours for the taking
|
Thanks, Stewie, but going to pass. Bitbrace huh? I have a couple around... But want to get something to replace the repurposed clamp unit I have now.
|
Still looking....

I've broken a couple using them on big hooks.
If I was younger, I'd do one of these Vise grip ones for big hooks. https://edmitchelloutdoors.com/2013/...flytying-vise/ |

I have used those for tying before Ray, not easy because no revolving but functional caveman style

Ross, I use a Thompson "C" vise. Works fine for up to 6/0. I don't tie any bigger. Most of what I tie are teasers on up to 3/0 and tail hooks which are 5/0 and 6/0 VMC Siwash. This vise handles then fine.
