Ten years ago I got a call from Joe Martins, 7-8 or so in the morning, I had just fallen asleep after fishing all night.

"We lost John last night"

Maybe Joe is playing the Sax tonight while Johnny is having a Blueberry Blonde toasting the Northern Alliance at some heavenly Coddington's

rock star of needlefish, hard worker and fished hard too
miss his phone calls and sense of humor

Was fishing one of the breaches Thursday night and thought of how he took me and a buddy , total noobs on how to fish the area, in hand and showed us how to fish and catch there, maybe 15-16 years ago. Met him and his son many times at night in the next years, always fun to fish with and learn from.

When I put on my copy of a white Habs needle the other night, it got slammed first drift.
