long term rod storage
 

i'm going to pack up the man cave and store a lot of my rods and reels long term any tips on storing the fishing rods , they are mostly ugly sticks. also there used to be a group that accepted fishing gear for a youth group does anyone have any info on them ? thanks

I've donated outfits to the Fishing Academy. In Brighton. RoyL was involved with them when he was around.

Long term, if you can throw them in a cardboard or pvc tube you can store them horizontally. The tube will support the entire rod. Otherwise stand them straight up. What you want to avoid is two or so support points with sag in-between.
