Spool shape

Filled a couple gosa's today, one looked straight the other big top narrow bottom..
I added washers to straighten out the cone shaped one , thing is I don't know why, just didn't like the look of it I guess,,,

So what's the deal, is one better than the other?

Respectfully submitted, dummy

Daiwa has been doing the tapered spool shape for years. Larger at the top and narrower at the base of the spool. It arguably helps with casting distance. It supposedly allows the coils coming off the spool to fly with less friction at the upper spool lip. I'm a fan and believer of the design myself.

One of my old saragosas is the same , don't worry about it.
