Tap tips?
Daughters wedding coming up in 11 days. Ordering the beer and will likely have two on draft. I've Never dealt with taps but will be getting them from my beer supplier. Any tips or things to avoid while using them? Just don't want them to dispense all foam like I've witnessed at some events. Also what do I put the half kegs in to keep beer cold?
Any advice appreciated. Thanks |
I could ask my post-college kids
Plastic tub with handle or new garbage cans Ice Get it there early Don't pump too much https://www.micromatic.com/keg-party-pump-information |
Buy a new plastic trash can.. the day before the event, place the 2 kegs in there and fill to the top with ice. It will be perfect the next day.
im not sure how to avoid foam... have fun! |
Tap it early and fast too. That way it will settle in time
If the cops show up grab the tap and don’t worry about the keg, that is the biggest chunk of deposit money Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device |

Rent or buy a Jockey Box w\ Co2 you wont be disappointed beats having to pump the keg. you can hide the kegs behind a table then dress the coolers up to not look like your at a keg party

get it cold and let it sit preferrably the day before if possible, dont move or disturb right before pouring. Also keeping the lines cold helps a lot with foam. also are you pouring with CO2 or the pump? I would go CO2 with regulator if you can get your hands on a set up.

Thanks everyone. Time to buy a new trash barrel I guess.
BTW - draft on tap will be Founders All Day Session IPA. |

I won’t lie.. I drank more Coors lite this summmer than IPA’s. It’s refreshing and cheap.
