North shore guys get your ice skates out
Looks like this is going to be a nasty storm for Boston and just north, the ice and freezing rain is going to make it tough. My fear is getting into the game Sunday for a quarter and then loosing power, I need to have a back up bar plan in place, although if I DVR it even without power I can go watch it later.......just not the same as live. Travel safe.
On the coast in Plymouth, I expect the usual......nada. We might get a few inches tonight, but the rain they are predicting for us will wash that away. |

Strapped on my ice skates yesterday for first time in 15 years...was a little weird at first.
Then it all came back to me. Had a blast and the 30 year olds with me couldn't believe that at 63 i could out skate them with ease. Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device |

I tried last winter & reality stepped in . one of my legs wouldn,t raise higher enough & the blade kept skimming the ice to fu ck that up …...another age factor :wid:

Played on a mens league into my late forties.. the 20 year olds hated meeting up with me at the blue line.:tooth: After they realized they couldnt get past me they usually resorted to taking slap shots at me. |

Got out on the Garden ice recently. No sticks or pucks though...

Ice is building up pretty fast. Everything coated in ice, even vehicles we cleared and were out driving in earlier. Temperature has fallen 10 degrees in past hour into the teens. Not sure it will have made any whether we shoveled and used snowblower when it is all said and done....

I am 1000 miles away and they guy who takes care of our house says the pipes froze in one zone of the heating system. Got guys working on it but I feel helpless. May have to go home.

Since I live in Newport I am one of the 7,000 without natural gas for heat thanks the national grid ... we drained all the water lines and heating lines this morning. Might not have heat for a week. Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device |

Works good in multizone big houses without a dedicated alarm system or if you have no alarm system |

I am surprised the systems has been down this long there. Lousy planning.
