Who has thrown their hat in the ring for the 2020 race? I think Warren has said she is interested, but who else is a realistic candidate? Please,no jokes. This is serious.

Senators Gillibrand and Harris. Gillbrand is a lightweight, Harris is more serious.

best chance to defeat trump is biden.

agree Biden warren wont have national appeal even for independents or swing voters at best some would make better Vice Presidents like pence was for Trump for the evangelical vote ..

but still the biggest issue is there are not enough moderates in the house or the senate .. to balance things out

i think if biden got the nomination, he’s win 40 states. but this isn’t his party anymore, it’s waynto the left of him.

warren has little chance.

the problem with both parties, is that the primaries are designed for ideological extremists, and the general is designed for
moderates.

has the role of superdelegates changed on the democratic side? they could play a huge role. if it’s biden against 5/6 progressives who split the progressive vote, biden couldngwt mire votes than anyone else. but would the superdelegates back him? do they even still have all that power?

I see a governor and a woman on the ticket,
I think both Biden and Bernie are too old
Big issues will be health care, climate change, tax reform (not lower)

a moderate governor and a woman as vp would
be smart, very smart. i don’t think they see the need for a moderate.

I think Biden could easily serve a term or even two. Dems have some great VP material to work with.

Wild card this cycle will be independents that could skew things either way.

"I think Biden could easily serve a term or even two. "

Agreed, and I am certain he's your best chance.

spence, is the role
of superdelegates within the democratic primary, the same as it was in 2016? if so, who do you think the party will steer the superdelegates toward?

let’s say it’s biden ( moderate) and a handful
of radical liberals like warren, gillibrand, harris, spartacus, etc... who will the party leaders want the superdelegates to go for?

No, the dnc changed the rules to shift away from super delegates giving a candidate an early lead and favoring primaries over caucasses. Likely wouldn't have changed the results of 2016 but will be more consistent moving forward.
