Fat Albert

Found the albies yesterday but they were quite finicky. Lots of casts for a couple sticks of dynamite!

Saw a celebrity out there waving a stick, his name is Numbskull.

Uh oh...that means it's heal up time for me. A little early this year, no? I told Ray I should be good to go after Labor Day. But not going to make it on/off that finger pier.

So more importantly, what is the list of must have lures now for the albies? Have not even looked at my gear this year, so going to just focus on one rod/one plano box each for albies and tog.

They’re everywhere here ( bones I think),,, been shooting at them for several days, only one hook up and broke that one off... :-(

Snotty this AM but fantastic weather,,, best time of year right here,,, IMO...

All is not lost, bugs for lunch... :-)

I have been on the bones for a bit but this was a large class of albies and at least 3 times the size of the bones we caught later in the day. Lots of pep.

My best guess
6-6 to 7-6 , 15 to 20#, 1/4 to 1 oz. rod, 4K class reel, 20# leader ...

Every little lure on the planet... :fishin: epoxies

Wayne’s the man when it comes to AlbySnax...

I use a 12-15# leader

Same thing here. Had crazy albie feeds Friday but super tight lipped. And they seemed of a larger size. Stayed north of Friday’s mission and were on crazy bonito feeds today. Only thing these wanted was silver
