Exploded my Century S1 Stealth
3 Attachment(s)
Never snapped a rod throwing a plug. Was casting a 1.5 oz Point Jude Tin to breaking fish off of OBX. Rod was a custom built in 2013. It snapped almost clean off just below where it was inserted into the upper 2/3. No damage to the upper section. Wonder if I can get the piece out and sand down the remainder of the lower 1/3 and reinsert it.
Anyone know Century's policy on something like this? I bought it in '15 or so from a member here who hardly used it and I threw it a few times but it was a bit light for what I was into at the time, so it's been sitting in the rafters for a few years. Figured it was the perfect rod for the sandy beaches of OBX. |
That stinks. Not exactly sure of the policy other than I've heard it takes a long time to get replacement pieces from them. I have a few centurys and am much more careful how I treat them vs my Lamis which I just throw around.
Good luck. |
