Trump Urged Top Aide to Help Giuliani Client Facing DOJ Charges
 

President Donald Trump pressed then-Secretary of State Rex Tillerson to help persuade the Justice Department to drop a criminal case against an Iranian-Turkish gold trader who was a client of Rudy Giuliani, according to three people familiar with the 2017 meeting in the Oval Office.

Tillerson refused, arguing it would constitute interference in an ongoing investigation of the trader, Reza Zarrab, according to the people. They said other participants in the Oval Office were shocked by the request.

Tillerson immediately repeated his objections to then-Chief of Staff John Kelly in a hallway conversation just outside the Oval Office, emphasizing that the request would be illegal. Neither episode has been previously reported, and all of the people spoke on condition of anonymity due to the sensitivity of the conversations.

Why does this matter?

Reza Zarrab engineered the largest sanctions evasion scheme in recent history.

The money he was laundering belonged to Iran.

His office incidentally was in Trump Tower Istanbul.

He and Ergodan profited off the transactions.

Zarrab's lawyer was none other than Colludy Guiliani.

Since this time Trump has fired Tillerson because he would not do what Trump wanted, fired Sessions because he would not do what he wanted and installed Pompeo and Barr, both committed Trump enablers.

What have Pompeo and Barr covered up?

Besides over a hundred business affiliations in Turkey, what else does Ergodan have on Trump and Kushner from the Kashoggi slaying?

Oh boy if the reporting on this is accurate and since it’s based on the indictment, this is icing on the impeachment cake. The level of corruption, the way Russia and Ukraine have used Trump to do their bidding is just unbelievable, ok SD time to add your catch phrase so you can feel ok.

Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman had lunch with Rudy Giuliani at the Trump hotel in Washington YESTERDAY, a source who saw them tells the WSJ. They were arrested later that night at Dulles, where they were awaiting an international flight.

Wonder what they talked about?

Attorney client privilege doesn't work if it involves the commission of a crime.
