Canal Blitzes-9-2-03

I was there yesterday and let me tell you....lots of fish all over. Saw at leat 20 3-4 minute blitzes 10 feet in front of me. Bunker were jumping onto the rocks!!!

I ended up catching at least 20 stripers all around 22-25 inches. No big fish but reel fun to catch with my seven foot Ugly stick! I was using 5" & 6" Storm Wildeye's-pearl color(what a GREAT!!! plastic). I had three of them chopped up by blues. Never landed a blue.

I'll be back there on friday!!!

If I were to go down there Sunday morning - sunrise - where should I go? - this would be from shore. I am unfamiliar with the area so some detailed PM with directions OR an experienced angler to walk with would absolutely Rock!

Thanks for the report farmer! We've been seeing lots of bluefish blitzes but glad to hear its stripers doing it. Now I'm all excited!! Hopefully a good weekend coming up.
