I know, skeptical...
But the phrase "catch limits based on the based on the needs of the ecosystem" is disturbing (I'm watching Bruins and having a Scotch). What are the needs of the ecosystem? and how will that affect the fishery? Sigh... Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! |
When I was studying fisheries... almost 20 years ago... ecosystem based approach was the direction we were supposed to be heading. Can't believe it. Hope it sticks

Yes good news. But many runs near me suffer from over growth limmiting flow blocked dams . Or general absense of herring comming or going .
Not sure how to fix this side of the issue Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device |
They waited too long me think, been counting a run in my town for several years now, it pretty much died a couple years ago :-(
And the state just started construction on widening the tributary under rt 28, go figure |
Looooooong over due.

Maybe they get it right, maybe the they won't at this late juncture. The powers that be have a woeful record save for the black sea bass and maybe one or two others but i'm sure they'll eff those up within due time.
