why i watch Tucker Carlson

I only turn on a tv maybe 2-3 times a week. I do like to watch Carlson on Foxnews at 8:00, here’s why.

Carlson doesn’t deny he’s right leaning, the show obviously reflects that. But unlike just about any other cable news show, his show isn’t 100% dedicated to advancing one partisan narrative. He doesn’t spend 100% of his time claiming conservatives are right, and liberals are wrong. His show might be the only cable news show that doesn’t do exactly that.

He talks a lot about quality of life, and occasionally he’s brutal to conservatives.

Last night, he did a 10 minute segment on the dangers of venture capitalism, he used what happened to Cabelas as an example. A billionaire hedge fund manager named Paul Singer acquired an 11% stake in Cabelas, forced the board to sell to Bass Pro Shops, which forced Cabelas to eliminate thousands of employees. In the Nebraska town where Cabelas was headquartered, the population was only 6,000, most worked at Cabelas. 2,000 jobs were eliminated, the town was decimated, the billionaire Paul
Singer got richer.

Carlson notes that Nebraska senator Ben Sasse, a Republican, did nothing to try and stop the annihilation of a town in his state, Carlson noted that Sasse wouldn’t even comment on the story. Carlson notes that Sasse has taken maximum political donations from the billionaire Singer.

So a conservative host with a large audience, attacks one of the core
principles of his side’s ideology ( free market capitalism) as being potentially lethal, and he specifically attacked a sitting US senator in his party for being in the pocket of the man responsible.

I like honest journalists who care more about truth and decency, than they care about partisan agendas. I do watch CNN and MSNBC occasionally, and i've never seen
anything like this, never seen a host on either network attack a core principle of liberalism, nor attack a sitting US senator for simply doing nothing but watch a legal yet harmful practice play out. What Carlson did, would be like Rachael Maddow doing a 10 minute segment on the damage liberalism has done to the black community by incentivizing fatherlessness, and attacking a liberal senator for taking money from Planned Parenthood. I don’t think it would ever happen anywhere but that one show.

Is here another show that honest and balanced? A sincere question.
