Looking to see if anyone has any plotting tools they would like to part with, taking my 6pack course the 27th of this month and just was informed I need them ... and Amazon cant get them until after my course , or I have to get them at the course which is fine ,, figured this would be the place to ask :thanks:

The good news is I think I still have that stuff...
The bad news is won’t be back in town until the 26th...

It's the 2 long weekends Thrus 6 to 10 PM than fri-sun 830 530..

But what scares me is the coast guard physical paper work

My doctor doesn't have time to fill it out its 8 pages long ..

Don’t use ur regular doctor, they will screw up the paperwork for sure. Use an occupational health doctor who does the paperwork all the time. Beth isreal in Plymouth does it. And do you have the sea service hrs? Most people who don’t work on the water don’t even come close to the required hrs

OCCUPATIONAL health doctor good to know ,, I've got over 400 days since 2014 just on my 2nd boat , if i need to i will pull out my military sea time :kewl:

I am going to start small 1 trip a day would be happy with 2 a week more for fun

Just don't forget it has to be recent time.......within the last 5 years......

And yes, if you don't work on the water it is not easy to do in New England. 365 sea days in 5 years when a season is 5-6 months a year and if you have a regular job..........yeah this leads to fuzzy math.

As Niko said BID in plymouth is good and fills out the paperwork all the time. You CAN do it at your reg doctor.......I just did mine at my regular but mine being just renewal and not original license is a bit less to do. You really need to be on top of them to make sure they don't miss anything. So BID is a better choice. Trust me, I've taken more CG physicals and drug tests that I can count in the last 30 years at sea.

Be certain your BP is less than 140/90 and if your BMi is < 40 then you'll have to do the fat man test. They call it a physical ability test. BID can do this too. These are red flags that will get kicked back at the CG HQ is Martinsville WV.

Don’t screw around with having your own doctor fill out the paperwork.
Use a doctors office that is familiar with the paperwork.
My last renewal got bounced back twice from the CG because they didn’t fill every line.
I’m up for my 3rd renewal this year

I filled it out myself and had the Dr. sign it. He asked a few questions before signing it, but at least I knew it was done correctly. no problem.
