Weekend report ?????
 

I saw a bunch of you were heading to So. County this weekend. Anyone run into fish?
I fished Friday night. I hit about 4 spots - nothing anywhere...just waves and weeds. The waves coming in at the gun mounts at Pt. Judith looked about 20ft high. Its was an awesome sight.
I'm dying to know if anyone caught anything from the shore, not where, just if you did. I was hoping for a good night and got skunked.......:smash:

same here, hit south county saturday night. biiiiiggggg surf and it was crowded with surfers and people going to the ocean to see the waves. no bites no nothing, the clap and boom sound the waves made when they hit the beach was awesome. you could feel and hear the power :cool:

i heard BP was on fire for a week-till I got there sat eve for sundown-too much surf:mad:

I went to the south beach in Lil comp sat and it was unfishable so I went back to Newport to an area that would not be hit by the swells. Well the bunker were in there thick and the bass were boiling like blues from 11pm and were still going strong at 3:30 am when I left. Landed 30 kept 1 37" lost 2 that snaped me off.
Going back tonight to see if still there:happy:

Weekend Report?....NOT good....let's see, I was skunked at the canal early Sunday morning, everybody I talked to down there was skunked as well, and most of what I heard from other places, the results were the same (other than the far reaches of the Cape), and the Pat's got pummeled....

Fished the Bay Fri night from a plastic rock. FIsh bustin everywere around the boat. A few bass runs on eels, one bluefish on a popper, a couple of eel butts, threw everythign in the bag but all I caught were 1" long pogies :smash: :af:

I went out Friday night and also got skunked. The swells were huge I was being cautious and could not really use the outgoing tide like I wanted to.

Bass & Blues to 22lbs on Sat, from Deep Hole to Green Hill, Sunday Bass to 34lbs at BI. I am fished out, need a vacation...
