Fridge blew up
 

Side by side in the cellar. Noticed a little frost a few weeks ago and then this week was like Hoth. Seal seems fine and the door isn’t warped. There is a very small 1/2 ounce dribble of an oil like substance on the floor running from under the door hinge.

I would have thought maybe the kids just left the door open but the oil is strange. Otherwise still is running fine.

Thoughts?

Side by side is a terrible choice from the start.
Pull the band aid off and send it.Make it right with something sensible. French door Bosch have a compressor for both freezer and fridge. The right way to go if you can buy once.

The kids probably just spilled hash oil. Scrape it up and smoke the chit.

Have a Bosch french door in the kitchen, this is the old unit which I kept as a backup downstairs.

My side by side is now a bait freezer.
