COVID related violence in Chicago this weekend.

"The president of Chicago's Fraternal Order of Police has drafted a letter to President Trump requesting federal help in combating the city's gun violence problem.
In the letter posted to Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 7's Facebook page Saturday evening, FOP President John Catanzara said "Mayor Lightfoot has proved to be a complete failure who is either unwilling or unable to maintain law and order here." "I would be willing to sit down anytime and discuss ideas about how we can bring civility back to the streets of Chicago," Catanzara went on to say. "These politicians are failing the good men and women of this city and the police department." and so.... CHICAGO (CBS Chicago/CBS News) — A group of elected officials on the city, county, and state level on Sunday issued a statement condemning Chicago Fraternal Order of Police President John Catanzara Jr.’s letter to President Donald Trump asking for federal assistance in dealing with “chaos” in Chicago. |

Fun fact. The guy on the right is now in charge of all our COVID-19 data. He’s Michael Caputo, Trump’s HHS director. His former gigs include being a political pundit and wait for it... publicity director for Vladimir Putin in charge of improving the dictator’s image around the world. He also has no experience in health or medicine or medical data or pandemic response. Send all the data to him and not the CDC, what could possibly go wrong.
If local authorities think it’s bad know, what until the second wave which we haven’t seen yet gets rolling. |
Thank You,Rat.Perhaps he can help the libs clean up Chicago

If it wasn't for Chicago conservatives wouldn't have anything to complain about. It's the same every year every summer ... and they have been using it for decades and it's always a distraction from the issue of the day. Sprinkled With faux concerns...

Here's Portland. It's so violent mother's are banding together to form so called "killer pods" to protect the antifa terrorists. |
Thank you for posting a pic of a BLM protest Jeff.
People see what they wish to see obviously I guess in Snowflakeville everything was fine and dandy in Portland until forceful intervention occurred. Who would have imagined that it would escalate so quickly with the peaceful demonstrations? Yet they don’t seem bothered in the least in your provided example. |

Published July 19, 2020 Updated July 20, 2020 Community leaders call for moratorium on violence, ask for conversation with protesters “If you want to make change, if you are serious about change, then I’m begging you as a citizen of this city ... put down your need for violence.” PORTLAND, Ore — After more than seven weeks of protesting and escalating tension between demonstrators and law enforcement, the Portland Police Association, along with representatives from the community, called for an end to destruction and called on protesters to meet with them to work toward a solution. “If you care about Black lives, if you care about the community, if you care about your officers, if you care about your city, the only thing you need to do is make this stop,” Portland police union president Daryl Turner said. Turner called out elected officials for condoning violence and chaos in Portland and not acting. “This is no longer about George Floyd. This is no longer about racial equity or social justice. This is no longer about reform or the evolution of policing,” Turner said. “This is about violence, rioting, destruction, chaos, anarchy, buildings on fire, dumpsters on fire, broken glass and damaged businesses in Old Town, the Pearl, Northeast and North Portland.” Faith leaders, business owners and community members joined Turner at the press conference. The pastor of Vancouver Avenue First Baptist Church, J.W. Matt Hennessee, called for a “moratorium on the streets” and issued an invitation to those setting fires, causing destruction and looting to meet with him and others to talk, be heard and look for solutions. “If you want to make change, if you are serious about change, then I’m begging you as a citizen of this city ... put down your need for violence,” Hennessee said. Turner, Hennessee and others spoke outside the union headquarters on North Lombard where a riot was declared Saturday night and the building was set on fire. The demonstration was one of two gatherings Saturday night involving hundreds of people calling for police reform and an end to systemic racism. The other was outside the Multnomah County Justice Center in downtown Portland. The area has been the site of many clashes between protesters and law enforcement over the past seven weeks. "every city, every town, burn the precincts to the ground" nice people...:kewl: |
